Xbox Controller Modification
The Wait Is Over......

As most people are aware, l have attached the Xbox controller to my Pc via the USB port. And may are asking how l did it. Well all is revealed, as it is the easiest thing to do. That is if you never want to hook it to an Xbox again!!!

First: Make sure you have both an Xbox controller and a standard USB cable (i.e. Printer or Extension cable). Where you can cut the end off. Making sure you have enough cable to solder the wires to the Xbox Controller Cable.

Refer to Appendix A:

Second: Find the best spot for yourself on the Xbox gamepad cable and Cut the Xbox end off. (I did it just after the joiner, where the trip splitter is. And about 1-2 cm from the joiner. So if l want to reattach then l could)

Refer to Appendix B:

Third: You will notice that the USB cable has four wires.

( RED, WHITE, GREEN, BLACK) and the Xbox cable has five ( RED, WHITE, GREEN, BLACK and YELLOW ) Don't worry about the yellow wire, as from what l know it is a signal line to tell what controller is attached to the Xbox. Join and solder the USB connector to the cable from the controller a match the colors together and tape them up.

Bingo Jobs Done. Plug it in and the PC will pick it up as an "Unknown Device".

Lord Victory's Mini XID Alpha Driver Mirror
This isn't our driver, but l do support Lord Victory with his driver project. This is an Alpha release and may not work on all systems. There has been compatibility problems with Windows ME, and from my experience with Windows XP, it doesn't look good there either. But being an alpha release is only the beginning for him. More progress reports as l receive the info. Download it and check it out.

If you don't want to do this why not just buy the adapter from here for only £8
